“You are gonna have to work on your navy seal skills.” This is how it all started! Javi, referred to me by one of my dear friends from high school, was trying to plan just how he was going to propose to his girlfriend Ellie. (If you didn’t know I’m not only a photographer but also a proposal planner!;))
The couple was coming into town for Ellie’s father’s birthday and Javi wasn’t sure at first where the family would be eating dinner or where he wanted to actually pop the question. I told him a few options that we had around the area or near the possible restaurant but nothing was sounding good. We finally came up with the idea to do it in Ellie’s Family’s backyard!
It was the perfect location! Gorgeous, it was on the water. Sentimental, it was her house. And Intimate, he pulled her out by the water alone and all her family got to watch without her even knowing what was happening!Ellie was totally surprised and thought it was absolutely perfect! She had no idea it was coming and didn’t even know I was there until she turned back to look at her family. When she saw me she turned back to Javi with tears of joy in her eyes exclaiming, “You even hired a photographer?!”
It is moments like that when I can’t even put into words how much I love my job! I got to capture those precious moments for Ellie and she will always remember the joy she felt the moment Javi proposed to her!
